BUBBLING APPLES

6 baking apples |
3 tablespoons butter |

1/4 cup sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
|

Wash, quarter, pare and core
apples. Lay them in a casserole packed tightly. Mix the
sugar, cinnamon and salt and sprinkle over the apples. Dot
them with butter cut into small bits. Bake until apples are
bubbling and lightly browned, 20-30 minutes at 350°-375°.
Serves 6-8. Good with pork. |
